Economic Modelling
Most of my modelling happens in Excel and R. Yes, Excel is boring (I know!), but it gets the job done and it's the industry default.
AI Tools
I use Claude for writing and coding tasks, and Gemini's Nano Banana for image generation.
Video Production
I edit all my videos in DaVinci Resolve and use Canva for thumbnails and slides. For stock footage, sound effects, and background music I go to Artlist.io. I've also played around with VideoScribe as an animation tool. The cute little icons you see in some of my designs all come from Flaticon.
Writing & References
For all my writing I use Word combined with Endnote to manage references. I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to custom fonts, so I use sites like Fontshare, Uncut, and Freefaces to get a unique look.
Organisation & Knowledge Management
OneNote is my go-to for capturing ideas quickly. Notion is where I build customisable and sharable pages — like the open-source modelling library. I also use Miro as an online whiteboard for brainstorming and creating visual guides like the HEOR mind map.
Website
My website runs on WordPress, hosted on Hostinger. I use Elementor Pro for editing and Common Ninja to embed widgets like the pharma glossary and my contact form.
Podcast & Community
I use Libsyn to host and distribute my podcast RSS feed. For the HEOR & pharma Discord community, I use Sapphire as my admin bot.
That's the full stack. If you're building out your own toolkit — whether for HEOR work, content creation, or both — hopefully this gives you some ideas. Hit reply and let me know what tools you swear by.
